Lead PPN: Orthopedic Surgery
Ariana is a 4th year MD student planning to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery. She is originally from Alexandria, VA and graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Economics and Global Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in French and Chinese. Prior to medical school, Ariana worked in financial services for three years. She completed a pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at Johns Hopkins University. During her time at Penn, Ariana has been a board member of the Leo Leung Orthopaedic Society, the Penn Global Surgery Group, and has volunteered with the Women’s Refugee Clinic. Ariana has a strong interest in musculoskeletal disorders, especially in the pediatric population.
Ariana will be pursuing a research year with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. She will be taking part in their Adult Learner Clinical Exploration (ACE) Program for Orthopedic Trauma within the Division of Trauma and Fracture Surgery. In her free time, Ariana enjoys cooking, running, doing the NY Times Crossword, and traveling (pre-COVID but can’t wait to do more soon!).
