Cindy is a 4th year MD/MBA student planning to pursue a career in ophthalmology or general surgery. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio she graduated from Harvard in 2017 with an A.B. in statistics and a secondary in global health & health policy. During medical school, she has greatly enjoyed serving as a clinic coordinator for the student-run University City Hospitality Coalition clinic, as well as co-leading a backpacking trip for her fellow MS1s in the Delaware Water Gap. She has worked on research projects focused on disparities in surgical care and is interested in how health systems can improve access to and outcomes of care for underserved patient populations. She would be happy to talk to students about community clinics, finding research mentors, or choosing a combined degree program. When stuck in a quarantine, she loves running, buying bread, baking bread, eating bread, and hiking.
