Eric is a 4th year MD student pursuing a career in general surgery. Eric is originally from Albuquerque, NM and graduated summa cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Harvard College with an A.B. in Chemical and Physical Biology and a secondary degree in Statistics. At Penn, Eric has volunteered as a clinic lead with the Unity Clinic, and co-founded the UpLIFT project, an open-access resource devoted to creating a more equitable medical workforce by providing prospective applicants from under-represented, low income, and first-time student backgrounds with access to comprehensive, up-to-date information about successfully applying and matriculating into medical school. He is pursuing a Certificate in Academic Surgery and conducts research studying immunotherapeutic approaches to the treatment of antibody-mediated rejection in solid organ transplant patients. In his free time, Eric enjoys running on the Schuylkill River trail, playing squash, bouldering, and spending time with his friends.
