Mitchell Johnson

Lead PPN: Orthopedic Surgery

Mitchell is a 4th year MD student planning to pursue a career in orthopaedic surgery. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. During medical school, he has enjoyed serving as a clinic coordinator for the student-run University City Hospitality Coalition clinic and as the president of the Leo Leung Orthopaedic Surgery Society. Mitchell was awarded the Benjamin Fox Orthopaedic Research Scholar Award and has focused on projects related to pediatric scoliosis progression and characterizing gender disparities in the field of orthopaedic surgery. Mitchell is an avid sourdough bread baker and when not eating bread can be found outdoors running, hiking, or biking.
