Lead PPN: Orthopedic Surgery
Nico is a 3rd year MD student planning on pursuing a career in Orthopaedics, currently serving as the Leon Root Orthopedic Research Fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He graduated from Amherst College with a BA in Chemistry. After graduating from Amherst in 2016, he spent two years playing professional soccer in Castellon, Spain. At Penn, he spent time volunteering at Puentes de Salud, served on the board for the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) and the Leo Leung Orthopaedic Society (LLOS), and acted as a translator for the Penn Law Transnational Legal Clinic. He is pursuing a certificate in Academic Surgery.
In his free time, Nico enjoys soccer, kickboxing, and exploring the various Philly and NYC food scenes.
