Avi Dravid
Lead PPN - Orthopedics
Avi is a 1st year MD student who was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University in 2019, majoring in biology and political science. Prior to starting medical school, he was a Fulbright scholar at the London School of Economics, where he obtained a master’s in International Development & Humanitarian Emergencies. Avi subsequently worked for a consortium of community health centers in Southern California. He is keenly interested in health service delivery in under-resourced and politically fraught contexts.
In addition to CSH, Avi is involved in the Penn Global Surgery Group, the Refugee Health Interest Group, the Leo Leung Orthopaedic Surgery Society, apenndx magazine, and the Philadelphia Human Rights Clinic. He enjoys hiking, camping, and playing the electric guitar in his free time.
