General Overview of Document Translation Process

Go to pennmedacces.uphs.upenn.edu

  • Sign in using Penn Id

  • Go to internet page under corporate resources

  • Service request

  • HUP language interpreter request

  • Click documents

If copying and pasting doesn’t work, type out

Once in quantum services:

  1. Click translate service request

  2. Click on: Enter New Request

  3. Fill out the form with Contact person: Contact Telephone: Number of Documents: 1 Quantum Translation Instructions Project name: Language to be translated, Patients last name, Date (Ex: Spanish,Smith,1-26) Project Due Date: Enter date same as requested date

  4. Click: Continue

  5. See a screen that states: Your entry has been saved in the database

  6. Click: OK

  7. Under Project Documents at the bottom of the page, click: Add Document

  8. Fill out the form with: Document Name: Language to be translated, Patients last name, Date (Ex: Spanish,Smith,1-26)

  9. Click Browse to upload file

  10. Enter Source Language: English

  11. Select Target Language

  12. Click Upload Document

  13. See a screen that states: Your entry has been saved in the database

  14. Click: OK

The completed documents will also be sent to your email (it should have an “[External]” tag in your inbox). From our experience, it can take anywhere from less than 24 hours to the full date request to receive the document
